After earning national acclaim as the standout star of season 10 of NBC’s America’s Got Talent, Piff The Magic Dragon continues to win over audiences with his mythical mixture of wizardry, wit and sarcasm with his The Lucky Dragon Tour coming to the RP Funding Center on February 1, 2020 at 7:30 PM.
Joined by his trusty sidekick Mr. Piffles, The World’s Only Magic Performing Chihuahua™, the dynamic duo has performed all over the world in iconic venues such as Radio City Music Hall, Shakespeare’s Globe, the O2, London and Sydney Opera house in addition to their sold-out residency at the world-famous Flamingo Casino in Las Vegas. Voted Best Comedian in the 2018 Best of Las Vegas Awards, Piff was nominated for “Casino Comedian of the Year” alongside Bill Engvall and Sebastian Maniscalco.
Born John van der Put, in 2008 he created the stage persona of Piff the Magic Dragon (a spoof of Puff, the Magic Dragon) dressing in a green, red and yellow dragon costume, with self-deprecating humor and deadpan delivery assisted by "Mr. Piffles” in a matching dragon costume. The character was created by happenstance, when he was the only one to arrive in costume at a fancy dress party. "I spent the whole night getting more and more grumpy. And then my friend said, 'you should do this in your act”
