William Shakespeare’s most popular and widely performed comedy, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, is a tale of love, mischief, and misadventure surrounding the wedding festivities of the Duke of Athens. The threat of an impending arranged marriage and the anguish of unrequited love compel four young Athenian lovers to flee to an enchanted forest where they encounter a group of amateur actors and feuding fairies. Magic and mayhem ensue, providing the ingredients for a performance certain to capture the imagination.
