“The Road Home”, a collage of uplifting, soulful and spiritual music, will be presented on Saturday, April 9, 7:30 pm at Eastside Baptist Church in Plant City. Under the direction of Claudia Liliana Bolaño Becerra, the Chorale will sing a selection of Spirituals to include Mack Wilberg’s “Peace Like a River”; “Deep River”, arranged by Russell Robinson; Andrè Thomas’ “Beautiful City” and “Dere’s No Hidin’ Place” by Alice Parker and Robert Shaw. Mixed with a few familiar Classics such as “When I Fall In Love” and “You’ll Never Walk Alone/Climb Every Mountain”, the evening promises to make you smile.
The Choral is in its 2nd year with Claudia and the music and sound being made has never been better. She is artistic, expressive, motivating and a great teacher of music. Her passion for music is contagious, and it makes rehearsals fun and pass quickly. With 4 concerts per year, and 1 or 2 smaller engagements, the Chorale is well-known in the East Hillsborough County area and is hoping to attract interested individuals who like to sing and can read music.
Come hear and feel our passion for music on April 9. Eastside Baptist Church is located at 1318 East Calhoun St in Plant City. Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door.
