Division Opera Performance Art Experience
A Celebration Welcoming the Artists of Mayfaire 2015
On Friday, May 8th from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., a group of talented performers and local businesses will welcome artists of the Polk Museum of Art’s 2015 MIDFLORDIA Mayfaire by-the-Lake. Presented by Creative Director Ferdinand DeJesus and hosted by Tony’s Studio B, Division Opera is an immersive performance art experience. The event is open to the public to celebrate the Arts in our community. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online through Eventbrite at: www.eventbrite.com.
Attendees will have exclusive access to performances happening throughout the evening on and in the vicinity of Bay Street in Downtown Lakeland. The show will feature artistic works in the genres of music, opera, dance, theatre, fashion and more including:
-Open Mic Gypsies by Hector Alcaide
-Opera by four soloists
-Live Painting by James Hicks
-Ballet by Florida Dance Theatre
-Living Art by Amber Grubb
-Drum Circle by Osubi Craig
-Fashion Art Show by Just Fierce Productions
-Cirque Kalandra
Tony’s Studio B, The Purple Onion Deli & Grill, Mitchell’s Coffee House, Mahan’s Eatery and Bay Street Bistro will offer $5 to $7 menu specials throughout the evening.
