Be a fan of Dixieland! Later hours, discounts, and music on the last Friday monthly in Dixieland, Lakeland. The retail shops and restaurants in the Dixieland CRA kick off their monthly Last Friday event on the final Friday of each month. More than 15 participating businesses will feature one-of-a-kind art, shopping specials, entertainment and/or special drawings. This creative, eclectic and vibrant community would like visitors from all areas of Polk County to come out and enjoy extended business hours until 9:00 p.m. The Last Friday “footprint” includes New York Avenue, South Florida Avenue and Tennessee Avenue between Palmetto Street and Ariana Street. Attendees are encouraged to bicycle or walk using the improved alleys in the district. Public parking lots are located on the west side of Florida Avenue, just north of Hunter Street and on the east side of Florida Avenue just south of W. Park Street.
