Featuring the FSC Faculty Brass Quintet
From Allemande to Zumba, dances have inspired composers for centuries. Often composers use dance forms to expand their own musical language, taking dance rhythms beyond the ordinary. The members of the FSC Faculty Brass Quintet explore the many variants of dance forms from the Baroque to Modern, featuring music by Anthony Holborne, Ian MacDonald, and Leonard Bernstein’s final composition, Dance Suite.
