The Gala Performance Saturday, April 25th at 7:30 p.m.at Branscomb Auditorium on the campus of Florida Southern College, features FDT company dancers joined by international guest artists that include Cuban born Israel Rodriguez and from Mexico Katia Garza former principal dancers with Orlando Ballet and Ballet de Monterrey Exciting new works to our repertory include a piece by renowned choreographer Jerry Opdenaker originally set for New York City Ballet, an exciting piece by choreographer and percussionist Kwame Azalius Ross, with live music by Mr. Ross, Osubi Craig, and pianist Victoria de Lissivoy, excerpts of Israel Rodriguez “La Liberte” originally set on the National Ballet of Kosovo, and a work by Florida Southern College Dance Department Director Erin La Sala.
