Polk county's official visitor information center, Polk Outpost 27, will host spring Training Days, February 9-16,2013, 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. daily.  Join us as we celebrate the game of baseball.  We will begin our celebration with a historical journey through presentation of memorabilia displayed throughout the building.  Our 6th Annual Spring Training Kick-off Celebration will be held on Saturday, February 16 with a display at Polk Outpost 27 from 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. with giveaways, bounce house, movie, popcorn, and a specail appearance by ACE, the Detroit/Flying Tigers mascot.  We have invited our area attractions to join us: LEGOLAND Florida, Radio Disney, Fantasy of Flight, Bok Tower Gardens, Davidson's of Dundee and many more!  There will also be a food vendor and free games to enjoy.  Visitors to the event will also be able to register for two grand prize drawings: one will be for four tickets to see the Tigers play at Joker Marchant Sadium and the other will be a game-used Tigers jersey.
