The Museum’s 10th annual wine tasting and blues concert will feature veteran bluesman Joe Louis Walker, Tampa Bay blues artist Selwyn Birchwood, great food, wine and craft beers. Red, White & The Blues 2011 promises to be a fun and exciting party you won’t want to miss.
Walker, who grew up in the San Francisco Bay area and has played with musicians as diverse as B.B. King, Thelonius Monk and Jimi Hendrix, has released 22 albums in only 26 years. His 2009 album, Between a Rock and the Blues, won the Blues Music Awards’ Album of the Year.
VIP tickets are on sale at Polk Museum of Art for $75 per person. VIP ticket holders will be admitted to the event at 6:30 p.m. for a wine tasting, heavy hors d’oeuvres, an open bar (after 8:30 p.m.) and the concert. A limited number of general admission tickets ($30) also will be sold; general admission ticket holders will be admitted at 8:30 p.m. for the concert and will have access to a cash bar.
