Polk County's official visitor information center, Polk Outpost 27, will help visitors welcome the fall season this year with its sixth annual Fall Festival on Saturday, October 27 from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
This year we are highlighting our area attractions at the festival, which is attended by 1,000 visitors each year. In addition, there will be a bounce house, obstacle course, free candy bag, craft and food vendors, games, movies, and of course, a pumpkin decorating contest with three age categories (3-9 years old, 10-15 years old, and 16 years to adult).
Pumpkin decorating/carving contest
Pumpkin entries will be accepted on Thursday, October 25, and Friday, October 26, from 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. All pumpkins will be on display through judging which begins on Saturday, October 27 during the Fall Festival. Winners will be announced at 4:00 p.m. all entrants will receive a consulation prize, with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes awarded for total entries.
