One of Gilbert’s and Sullivan’s most popular comic operas, The Pirates of Penzance tells the story of Frederic, an apprentice aboard a friendly pirate ship, and Mabel, the daughter of a major general. Upon meeting and falling instantly in love, the young couple faces a series of comic complications as they attempt to discover the true way to serve both duty and love amid the antics of pirates, police, and the major general.
