Voices: “A Tribute to Motown & The Queen Of Soul” Mark your Calendars 📆 February 27th, 2020 “Voices” is a celebration of the African American Voice in Arts, that is hosted by Program Filling The Lane, Theatre of Winter Haven, Brothers United, and The Winter Haven High School’s Culture Connection Club. This year’s featured artists include Yetta Mae Hansell, Shenita Berrian, Brothers United, Eddie Crockett, Timothy J. McCormick, Vincent Miller, Renard Hayes, Deric Feacher, Maxi Wood, Kay Maxwell, and Syreeta Battle. The evening will also featuring music from Brass Heart Band and a pre-show performance from Jewett School Of the Arts’ Drumline.
On the 27th of February at 7:30 pm, guests will enjoy a musical review of Soul Music originally performed by some of the greats, such as Aretha Franklin, the Temptations, The Supremes and many more.
This event supports program Filling The Lane. The Mission of Filling The Lane is to bridge a gap between education, sports, culture, and community. Our ultimate goal is to enrich youths’ holistic educational experience by creating a structured and nurturing support system that fosters personal and academic development, community involvement, leadership, and appropriate decision making.
This Year we will honor two community members Mr. Donzell Floyd and Mrs. Jennifer Lyon Thornton This is a surprise so PLEASE don’t TELL.
