Winter Haven Council of Garden Clubs Hosts "All Decked Out" Holiday Décor Sale
Winter Haven, Fla. — The Winter Haven Council of Garden Clubs will sell Christmas wreaths, trees and table top décor on Thursday, November 17 from 5 to 8 p.m. and Friday, November 18 from noon to 6 p.m. Wine and refreshments will be served on November 17. The fundraiser, called "All Decked Out," will benefit the Winter Haven Council of Garden Clubs. Call 863-293-7638 for more information.
“So many people these days don’t have the time or talent to create their own holiday décor,” explains Council Vice President Judy Denlinger. “This is a wonderful opportunity for the public to purchase decorated table top trees, wreaths and accessories as well as beautiful live poinsettia, ivy and holiday plants while supporting the mission of the Council.”
The Winter Haven Council of Garden Clubs is a member of the state, national and Deep South Garden Club organization. The Council, comprised of the Bouquet, Camellia and Gardenia Garden Clubs, has approximately 200 members in the 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Goals are to stimulate an awareness and interest in the value of gardening and garden club activities; educate members and the general public on environmental and beautification concerns; attract a large and inclusive membership base and ensure financial stability for the organization. The Councils owns and maintains the spacious 1965 Gene Leedy Building and gardens which are available to rent for weddings, receptions, parties and other events.
